Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather:::
Another gray May day. It will probably clear up in a few hours, but the cool air is very refreshing.

On my reading pile:::
Still working on The Last Unicorn. Five minutes a day does not get a novel read.

On my TV:::
Nothing. I have other things that are more pressing. Not that I'll actually do them.

On the menu for this week:::
Monday- Porcupine Meatballs
Tuesday- Chicken Helper
Wednesday- Bagel Pizzas
Thursday- Oh So Good Chicken Casserole
Friday- Fancy Schmancy Seafood. Our reservations for two are at 7:00 PM. I don't know what the kids will eat; that's Grammy's problem.
Saturday- Movie Popcorn and Coke (you can eat stuff like that when you're on vacation)
Sunday- Whatever they serve on a train these days. I have low expectations but won't complain since I don't have to cook it.

On my to do list:::
Make appointment for spa treatments on our vacation

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I finally finished the Pooh latch hook kit! Now I just have to figure out what to do with it.

Looking around the house:::
I see a clean enough house, but it could be cleaner if the little piles of junk would go away. I've reached the point in my pregnancy where all I want to do is take a nap, so the junk pile gremlins have taken over.

From the camera:::
Twelve years in the making!

Something fun to share:::
I stumbled on a website called Tripit.com. It helps you keep all of your travel information in one place. You can make a very detailed itinerary with all your transportation and hotel info. I've just played with the free version and it is more than enough for my needs.

  1. You can make a cute pillow with the latch hook. Just get some plain material for the back and either stuff with a pillow form or loose stuffing.

  2. It's NOT too late to start your garden, it just means your yields will come in a lil later than all your neighbors :) Here in Central IL I always wait til around Mother's Day bc we can get frosts well into April! Good Luck- gardens are work but me, SOOOO worth it!
