World Book Wednesday

Volume M

Macrame- "A macrame purse is a decorative and inexpensive accessory. It was created by knotting pieces of string together."
I don't care what anyone says, that is a beautiful piece of art. Why would anyone pay hundreds of
dollars for a Coach or Louis Vuitton when they could make their own unique handbag?

Microfilm- Here is another thing that does not exist anymore. Hollywood has had to completely overhaul the espionage genre because plots can no longer be based on smuggling microfilm.

Remember when libraries had microfiche rooms? There's more information
on your smart phone than in a library's entire microfiche catalog.

The World Book Encyclopedia. Chicago: World Book-Childcraft International, 1979. Includes all photos and quotations
